Vidyut and Kunal took Twitter on not getting invited at the meetup. Let’s find out what exactly made Vidyut Jammwal and Kunal Khemu tweet on not getting invited.
Hotstar on 29th June, in its mega announcement, said the following movies shall release on their platform in the coming months. The movies are:
- Laxmmi Bomb
- Bhuj: The Pride of India
- Sadak 2
- The Big Bull
- Khuda Haafiz
- Dil Bechara
The announcement was made by a virtual meet up with Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Abhishek Bachchan, Ajay Devgn, and Akshay Kumar taking the center stage. All these stars also feature (except Varun) in the above-mentioned movies.
Vidyut and Kunal also star in one of those 7 movies in “Khuda Haafiz” and “Lootcase”. They were not called up for a virtual meet up with these 5 actors, even after knowing the fact that they are the leading star in their movies. This made them, as now what it seems, sidelined from the rest of the people from Bollywood.
Vidyut Jamwal, on being ignored tweeted,
“A BIG announcement for sure!! 7 films scheduled for release but only 5 are deemed worthy of representation. 2 films, receive no invitation or intimation. It’s a long road ahead. THE CYCLE CONTINUES”
Kunal Khemu had a somewhat similar reaction and he tweeted,
“Izzat aur pyaar maanga nahi kamaya jaata hai. Koi na de toh usse hum chhote nahi hote. Bas maidaan khelne ke liye barabar de do chhalaang hum bhi oonchi laga sakte hai.”
The tweet shows that the meet up clearly made them angry. Varun Dhawan is not in any of the 7 movies mentioned and still, he featured in the meetup. Whereas the lead actors like Kunal and Vidyut were ignored. This made them furious and the whole Twitter came to support them. Varun and Alia were the center of attraction whereas Vidyut and Kunal were completely ignored. This made them look sidelined and thus, it was obvious for the Tweet to come out.
