Days after Sushant’s death, Sonu Nigam came out to expose the truth about the music industry. Sonu Nigam on his vlog took on the “music mafia”.

Sonu said today it is an actor, Sushant Singh Rajput who has ended his life. The other person might be from the music industry. Tomorrow we might hear about a singer, lyricist, composer taking his life. Sonu also said, “there exists a bigger mafia in the music industry than in the film industry.”

Taking on big players, Sonu said everyone wants to do business and to rule the market. Sonu, while addressing the issue faced by singers, he said “music companies got him to record a song and later got it dubbed because a certain actor had a collaboration with another singer”.

Sonu gave a hint to the “actor” and said he is the one on whom fingers are raised these days. Sonu added while talking about this “unnamed” actor that he did the same with Arijit Singh. Looking at these hints, it is clear who Sonu Nigam was referring to Salman Khan.

Without naming them, Sonu took on two of the biggest music companies in India. He added without naming them, the power that vests in “2 big music companies” is not good. These 2 big music companies control everything i.e. what music will go on the radio and what music will go in the movies. Sonu possibly talked about T-series or Sony Music/Zee Music Company.

New Comers are Facing Troubles – Sonu Nigam

Sonu said that newcomers of the music industry are troubled because producers, directors want to work with them, music composers want to work with them, but music companies would deny working with the artist. Without naming them, Sonu said these companies influence their power to make sure who will sing and who will not. Adding his frustration, Sonu said music companies should be more kind to the newcomers.

Sonu Nigam went on saying that he turned out to be lucky when his entry as an artist came out at a very young age. Sonu was saved from the complexities during his time which occurs in the beginning. Speaking about new kids in the music industry, Sonu said it is very difficult to enter and survive. Sonu even expressed his sympathy for the newcomers.
