Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology in partnership with Niti Aayog launched Digital India AatmaNirbhar Bharat Innovate Challenge. In this challenge, the participants shall submit their app proposal to mygov.in portal. The best ideas shall be selected by an independent jury.
The app ideas can only be made and submitted in the following categories (and subcategories if any)
- Office Productivity & Work from Home
- Social Networking
- Health & Wellness
- Business including Agritech and Fintech
There may be several sub categories within each category.
The prize money in the app innovation challenge shall be awarded by the government in each of the 8 categories mentioned.
Prize money in each of the 8 categories for the App Innovation Challenge
First Prize – Rs. 20 Lakhs
Second Prize – Rs. 15 Lakhs
Third Prize – Rs. 10 Lakhs
So there will be 8 winners of Rs. 20 lakhs, 15 lakhs, and 10 lakhs.
It should also be seen that if the jury decides to create various subcategories based on the functionality in each category, that prize money will be changed.
The revised prize money if sub categories are made is:
First Prize – Rs. 4 Lakhs
Second Prize – Rs. 3 Lakhs
Third Prize – Rs. 2 Lakhs
So there will be 5 winners of Rs. 4 lakhs, 3 lakhs, and 2 lakhs in each of the subcategories which sums up to 20 lakhs, 15 lakhs, and 10 lakhs in each category.
